Applicant Fingerprint Information

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office does applicant fingerprinting Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. This is done at the main entrance to the Logan County Justice Center building at 110 Riverview Rd in Sterling.

The fee for fingerprinting is $10.00 for all applicants.

You will need to show some type of identification with a photograph prior to being fingerprinted. This is because our staff are required to confirm the person’s identity prior to fingerprinting. Acceptable forms of identification include driver’s licenses, state identification cards, passports or military identification cards.

Persons who wish to be fingerprinted should bring their fingerprint card(s) with them. The Logan County Sheriff’s Office will provide fingerprint cards for people being fingerprinted; however, applicants are encouraged to bring in a fingerprint card from the requesting agency as most fingerprint cards have specific information which may not be available or known to the  personnel. DO NOT FILL OUT THE FINGERPRINT CARD.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Office cannot fingerprint anyone for the purposes of immigration. The office of the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) requires the staff rolling the fingerprints to be registered with their office. Currently no members of the Logan County Sheriff’s Office are registered with the INS to perform this service.

There are no appointments necessary. Fingerprinting is done on a first come, first serve basis. It takes approximately 15 minutes to be fingerprinted. We recommend you allow a few extra minutes in case someone is ahead of you.
